How do I apply?

We’re so glad you’re interested in joining NHS Cadets!

  • When you’re ready to start your application, head to our application portal where you can “Search Positions” to look for an NHS Cadet location which is local to you.
  • There’s an option to filter the results by postcode and pathway type (Foundation or Advanced).
  • When you start your application, you’ll be asked some questions to see if NHS Cadets is the right fit for you.
  • Once you’ve received approval of your registration, you’ll be asked to complete subsequent stages of your application.

How long is the programme?

The programme will be delivered over 11 months (36 weeks) across an academic year. This means sessions will largely take place during term-time.

Pathways typically start in September or January, but this can vary depending on location. Feel free to check with us at NHScadets@sja.org.uk if you have any questions.
